Home staging, sometimes called visual coordinating or furniture placement encompasses much more than that. It has a myriad of applications that are more about adjusting to the ever-changing patterns of life. As we grow and evolve, we need places that support the interests and experiences of our lives, the comings and goings of people, the expansion and contraction of creative expression, and the nurturing of our inner selves. Adding to, subtracting from and adjusting the placement of the contents in our environment assists us to invent places that align with our lives.

Home Staging is a process of reinventing a space, primarily using existing furnishings, to accommodate a current need, purpose or expression. People often redefine their surroundings during times of transition, when something is beginning or ending, or when life has inspired us to reinvent ourselves in some way, such as:

  • Moving into a Home

  • Building a New Home

  • Remodeling or Redecorating

  • Selling an Existing Home

  • Refreshing an existing space

  • Defining space for hobbies or projects

  • Starting a Home Based Business

  • Adding people because of a marriage, aging parents, a new baby or roommates

STAGE YOUR HOME TO SELL

Staging a home to sell is a way of presenting a propertyso it sells in the least amount of time, at the best possible price.

Proper preparation accentuates homes benefits while down playing its defects. The results convey a subtle message that the home is beautiful, spacious and easy to maintain, no matter what the reality may be. The way we live in a home and the way to present it for sale are two very different things.

Most people spend more time preparing their car for sale: washing, waxing, clearing out the clutter, and repairing minor problems. Doesn’t it make sense to do the same with one of our most valuable investments? Staging can make a profound impact on the way buyers consider a property – giving them visual room to imagine their belongings in the space and see the possibility of it for themselves and their family.

Well-staged homes have sold in less than a week, even after being on the market for 5 to 18 months. Consultations or complete rearrangements are available.

Home Staging - Full Service:
Existing furniture, artwork and accessories are rearranged in harmony with the architecture so that the home is beautifully showcased to sell quickly. The focus is primarily on the main living areas and advice is given to attain an attractive curb appeal. The goal is to achieve a close resemblance to that model home look.

If a home has too many items in it, giving it a cluttered appearance, we may recommend temporarily storing or disposing of them prior to listing the property. Closets, cabinets, storage areas and the garage may also need to be cleared out so they appear more organized and spacious.

Home Staging - Evaluation:
For those who are motivated to make the required changes and adjustments themselves, a Home Evaluation may be all that’s needed. This consists of a walk through the inside and outside of the home with the owners, advising them of what can be done to enhance the salability of their home. Professional guidance is provided to see their home through potential buyers eyes and understand the value of recommended changes. Armed with this valuable information, the homeowners are equipped to complete the work themselves.
